Scopely and Digit have announced that Star Trek Fleet Command, a mobile 4X strategy game, would be the first from their lineup to make the leap to PC.
Star Trek Fleet Command was first released on mobile in November 2018 and centered on the Kelvin Timeline before expanding to include material from The Next Generation and The Original Series’ arcs.
Cross-progression support is included in Star Trek Fleet Command’s PC release, allowing players to utilize the fleets they’ve spent time creating on mobile when they switch platforms. As part of the publisher’s attempt to reach a wider audience, Alliances and Battlepasses are also supported.
Scopely co-CEO Javier Ferreira told VentureBeat, “I believe the notion of mobile players, PC players, and console gamers is obsolete.” “Our research indicates that more than 65 percent of gamers will engage with games across various platforms. Rather than concentrating on a single platform, our approach is to put the player first.”
The PC version of Star Trek Fleet Command is available as a direct download from the game’s official website, with a release date of “coming soon.” Players that try out the game on PC will get a cross-platform resource package, decorative avatars and frames, and in-game resource discounts.
