On Friday, July 23, the Olympics will get off with a bang, with the opening ceremony set to begin at 7:00 a.m. ET (8:00 PM Tokyo time).

The finest athletes from across the globe will participate in 28 different sports. Tokyo is 13 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, for the record (EST).

The opening ceremony will be broadcast on television, and there will be live streaming of the event.

Even before the opening ceremony, the officials planned a handful of contests, including soccer and softball games. The formal start, on the other hand, will be the opening ceremony in Tokyo, which will take place in the evening.

The Tokyo Olympics 2021 will undoubtedly be engulfed in a nostalgic excitement as well as modern-day records.

However, a sizable portion of the global population is concerned about whether such a major sports event makes sense during the pandemic period.
